The Institute is under the direct administration of the Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development DWPSD), Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) Our training program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers the latest techniques and technologies in metalworking, including welding, metal casting, and precision cutting. This course is designed to provide learners the knowledge, skills and attitude to become competent welder in accordance with industry standards. Upon completion of this course, the graduates will be able to work in industries where they can perform duties like carrying out Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Oxy-Acetylene processes, spot welding and seam welding.
This curriculum is designed to provide knowledge, skills and right attitude of an individual to be a competent Metal Art Designer and Fabricator in accordance with industry standards through the mode of Dual Training Program (DTP). This course is based on practical exposure in different areas as required in the real world of work in the industry. Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to carry out metal art design and fabrication works such as: carrying out metal cutting, shaping, fitting, welding works, casting & forging and fabricate metal products
You will learn digital and precision technology through this training. Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to carry out CNC lathe operation and CNC milling operation . In addition, this course will also prepare the graduates to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements for practicing Occupational Health and Safety procedures. This course also includes the soft skills components such as basic computer application, entrepreneurship, numeracy, communication and value education to supplement core competencies and enhance practical skills
